Final Four predictions: It is hard to not pick Kentucky

Now that your bracket, and mine as well, is completely destroyed, you are likely ready to just sit back and enjoy three basketball games over the next three days. Games that will decide this week's college basketball champion.

So what is going to happen now that we are down to just four teams?

Florida was the No. 1 overall seed when this tournament began, and it is not all that surprising that the Gators made it to this point. But as for Wisconsin, along with UConn and Kentucky in particular, it is a surprise, and thus, why your bracket is crushed.

How will this all play out this weekend?

Unfortunately, as a Mizzou fan and rooter of all things done right in an old school way, I hate to admit this, but it is hard not to see John Calipari and his squad of one-and-done studs continue their winning ways the rest of the weekend.

Lets look at the matchups.

Florida vs UConn:

Bill Donovan is now the experienced veteran in this coaching matchup with Kevin Ollie, something that is odd for a guy like Donovan who is still so young. Donovan already has two National Championships under his belt, and if he is able to lead this squad back to the promise land, it will easily have been his best work yet.

And despite how impressive Donovan has been, it is Ollie who deserves "Coach of the Tournament" honors. HIs usage of stud point guard Shabazz Napier has been brilliant and the Huskies' grit and has been unparalleled, thus why they are here.

I will still take the favorites in this one in a tight one, but Donovan's Gators will prevail.

Kentucky vs. Wisconsin:

Kentucky is so athletic. So big. So physical. And yet, I have no doubt in my mind that Bo Ryan's club will be able to matchup with them without a problem.

The problem is that Kentucky is much more talented than Wisconsin and Calipari has helped his young team mature to the point where I can not see them losing in a matchup where they have the athletic edge.

I will take Kentucky.

National Championship game - Florida vs. Kentucky

This will be the fourth time these two schools will have played, with Florida winning the previous three games. I find it hard to believe they can beat a confident Kentucky team for a fourth time in one season. I will go Wildcats.

Oh, and if it turns out this way, how fitting to have two SEC teams, a conference viewed as "down" by all of the experts, battling for the crown.
