Bovada currently gives the Rams 60-1 odds at winning the Super Bowl in 2013 and they have the Rams over/under for victories in 2013 at just seven, matching the number of wins the team posted in 2012.
Meanwhile, some of the Rams' division rivals in the NFC West, which will likely be the strongest division in football in 2013, are being given much better chances by line-makers. The San Francisco 49ers are at 6-1, the best odds in the league, and have an over/under of 11.5 wins in 2013.
The Seattle Seahawks are also viewed very favorably by gambling and gaming experts. The Seahawks are 17-2 and are predicted to win 10.5 games.
Obviously, Vegas is not always spot-on when it comes to these predictions, but they are alarmingly accurate in most instances.
The long-shot status the Rams will once again carry with them into the 2013 season could be used as motivation as head coach Jeff Fisher will look to take the next step forward in the revitalization of the Rams franchise.
Obviously, it will not be easy. The 49ers and Seahawks both present difficult challenges. But if you want to gamble in a low risk, very high reward environment, the Rams at 60-1 feels like a good enough odds to at least put a couple of dollars down and placing a solid bet.
