Is Jaime Garcia's career with the St. Louis Cardinals over? - Cruddy Show #77

It become official on Wednesday afternoon. St. Louis Cardinals fans learned that the team would be without the service of left-handed starter Jaime Garcia for the remainder of the season. After suffering with the injury throughout much of 2012, including the playoffs, Garcia gave it one last try and fared pretty well up until his last two starts.

And now, months after several doctors recommended he undergo this very procedure, Garcia will have shoulder surgery that will end his career.

Anytime a pitcher has to have his shoulder worked on, it is scary stuff. Cardinals fans remember what happened to Mark Mulder all too well.

So what does this mean for Garcia's future? Will he be able to recover? Will he be on the hill for the Cardinals in 2014? Or, is it possible that his career is over?

The guys on The Cruddy Show discussed exactly that, as well as the promotion of Tyler Lyons, the release of Eduardo Sanchez and finally, which Cardinals will be all-stars later this season
