The St. Louis Rams and general manager Les Snead stayed busy Thursday night with their No. 22 selection by trading it to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for the Falcons No. 30 overall pick in the first round.
Not only did the move keep the Rams in the first round, but it allowed the franchise to acquire to move valuable picks. Snead also got a third and a sixth round pick as well from the Falcons.
The move was the second by the Rams on the night, who made a splash early in the draft by trading the team's No. 16 overall pick in the first round along with its second round pick in exchange for No. 8 overall from the Buffalo Bills and the right to select explosive wide receiver Tavon Austin.
After the trade, the Rams have the same number of picks they had to begin the night and still have two first rounders.
The Rams also gave up a seventh rounder in 2015 to make the deal happen.
After a pair of trades in the first round, it is almost hard to believe that Snead is done. He could do anything at this point at No. 30, including, trading down once again.
