St. Louis Blues wrap up regular season with a 3-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks

The St. Louis Blues defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 on Saturday night. With the win, the Blues have clinched home-ice advantage in the first round of the NHL Playoffs as the number four seed in the Western Conference. The Blues will be playing the Los Angeles Kings, the reigning Stanley Cup Champions and a rematch of last year's Western Conference semifinal. The Los Angeles Kings defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-2 on Saturday night for their right to play the Blues in the first round.

Jaden Schwartz carried the Blues in Saturday's win over the Blackhawks scoring two goals in the game as he ended the regular season with seven goals.

Patrik Berglund got the scoring started for the Blues four minutes into the first period as that was Berglund's 17th goal of the season. David Backes recorded two assists as he now has 300 points in his career.

Brian Elliott got the win as he stopped 22 shots and improved to 11-2-0 this month, as that is a franchise best.

The Blues now look forward, heading into the playoffs with a lot of momentum after winning six of their last seven games to conclude the regular season. The Blues and Kings will begin a seven games series next week starting in St. Louis. Times and dates are still not announced as the Bruins and Senators play tomorrow night to conclude the NHL regular season.
