After beating Illinois last week in their annual Braggin' Rights game in St. Louis, many Missouri Tigers basketball fans were curious to see how head coach Frank Haith's bunch would respond with a tough road test against a young UCLA team.
After the first half of play, the score is knotted 47-47 and point guard Phil Pressey has notched 12 assists through the first 20 minutes.
Pressey has been able to distribute the ball at will against UCLA, finding teammates for dunks and open shots from the perimeter.
Pressey should be able to break the school record of 13 assists in a single game with a decent second half.
Pressey has found teammates without turning the ball over. He has just one turnover thus far to go along with six of his own points.
Mizzou leading scorer Laurence Bowers has eight points at the half. Senior Keion Bell leads all scorers with 13 first half points.
