Missouri Tigers defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson has been of Gary Pinkel's best players all season.
Now, just one win away from becoming bowl eligible, Pinkel will do without his play-making big man.
According to multiple reports from various sources, Richardson will not be available and has been suspended for this weekend's game at Faurot Field in Columbia when the Tigers play host to Syracuse in a non-conference game.

#Mizzou will be without D-tackle Sheldon Richardson vs Syracuse, per team source. One-game suspension. MU declined comment. More to come

According to The Maneater , Mizzou's student newspaper, Richardson's suspension is related to academics.
Mizzou will miss Richardson's presence on defense. Richardson has been one of the defensive players in the SEC all season long and has risen up draft boards in just his junior season.
If Richardon bolts for the NFL after this season, he will have missed his last home game in a Tigers uniform due to suspension.
