Former Mizzou freshman tight end arrested for possession of marijuana

After hearing about Dorial Green-Beckham's arrest earlier this season for possession of marijuana in the parking lot of Memorial Stadium, Mizzou fans hoped that players would stay out of trouble for the rest of the season.

Unfortunately, that just is not happening.

Redshirt freshman tight end Brandon Holifield was arrested on Saturday evening for possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana.

Holifield was not one of the three Tigers arrested in the DGB incident, but he was on the scene and in the car.

Earlier this week, Mizzou quietly kicked Holifield off the team, as reported by Dave Matter of the Columbia Tribune via Twitter.

Hopefully, by booting Holifield off the team, head coach Gary Pinkel has found the issue that seems to be plaguing this year's team.  The program can not afford anymore negative press regarding ids and drug use, especially with the team having a 4-5 record.
