While Molina's offense has improved tremendously, his defense has always been a strength and 2012 was no different.
Molina has claimed four consecutive Gold Glove Awards and is expected to take home the award once again later this off-season.
But for now, Molina will settle on collecting a Fielding Bible Award, given out by a panel of ten respected journalists and baseball historians such as Peter Gammons and Bill James.
Molina is certain to collect more hardware this off-season. Molina likely will finish in the Top 5 of the National League MVP balloting as well.
The Fielding Bible Award just enhances Molina's defensive profile even further as he continues to make the case as possibly the best catcher in St. Louis Cardinals franchise history.
