Pinkel told reporters that Franklin, who made a surprise second half appearance in Mizzou's 33-10 win over Kentucky this past weekend, continues to get stronger and should be ready to go at full speed this Saturday at "The Swamp."
"He really made great strides all last week," Pinkel said. "This week we expect him to get better and better and get more confidence. He got some confidence playing in" the Kentucky "game. That will determine what we do with him and what we ask of him to do Saturday. We anticipate him being very close to 100 percent as far as us calling plays and allowing him to quarterback the way he does."
Franklin has played in parts of six games this season for Mizzou, throwing for 821 yards and four touchdowns while completing nearly 62 percent of his pass attempts.
Franklin has struggled running the ball though this season, averaging just 1.5 yards per run on 51 attempts, a number that will need to improve if Mizzou has any hopes of beating Florida.
