The St. Louis Rams scratched some heads when the drafted a kicker out of Missouri Western in the sixth round of last April's NFL Draft.
Now, after just four games, nobody is questioning the decision as rookie Greg Zuerlein has turned into a lethal weapon for Rams head coach Jeff Fisher.
Zuerlein blasted a 58 yard field goal in the first quarter of Sunday's game at the Edward Jones Dome against the Seattle Seahawks. Zuerlein's bomb of a field goal broke a franchise record once held by Jeff Wilkins.
But then, in the second half, Zuerlein one-upped his effort from the first half by booting a 60 yard field goal at the beginning of the second half.
Not only does Zuerlein own the franchise record after just his fourth game, he has already booted three of the longest field goals in franchise history. Zuerlein blasted a 56 yard field goal in a loss at Chicago in week three.
Zuerlein is quite a kicker and gives the Rams offense a chance to put up at least three points on every single possession.
