The St. Louis Blues lost game two of their second round series against the Los Angeles Kings in part because of a lack of physical play in a lackluster first period that saw them fall behind 4-0 by the time the first intermission came.
The Blues lost the game 5-2 and played better in the second and third periods, out-shooting the Kings 24-5 in the second and third periods as well as out-hitting the Kings 32-24 in the game.
One of those 32 hits came in the third period when Blues forward T.J. Oshie absolutely leveled Kings forward Dustin Penner. Check out the video above.
While the Blues trail the series 2-0 and head to L.A. in a big hole, it looks as though the Blues will not go down without a fight and will be very physical. The Blues and Oshie will certainly make the Kings earn it and with big hits like the one above, may be able to create enough of their own luck and get back into the series.
