On Sunday afternoon at Busch Stadium, it looked as though the St. Louis version of "Lynn-sanity" was halted a bit as Lynn dropped his first game as a starter in 2012 as the Cardinals fell to the Atlanta Braves 7-4.
Lynn allowed just four hits, but had command issues as he walked three Braves hitters while throwing just 13 first pitch strikes to the 25 hitters he faced.
Lynn seemed to struggle with some of his off-speed deliveries and was burned on a 3-2 fastball to Braves outfielder Jason Heyward, who doubled in three runs with the bases loaded in the third inning.
Lynn did strikeout seven Braves hitters and managed to get through six innings, throwing a season high 121 pitches.
The former reliever is now 6-1 with a 1.81 ERA on the season.
