After helping lead the St. Louis Cardinals to the 2011 World Series Championship, the Cardinals bullpen has struggled mightily this season.

In order to provide some re-assurance to the beleagured bullpen, who sufferred yet another loss on Friday night when closer Jason Motte gave up a two run home run to Hunter Pence of the Philadelphia Phillies, the Cardinals are believed to make a move before Saturday's game.

According to Keith Law, the Cardinals will be calling on right-handed reliever Chuckie Fick.
Besides the interesting fact the Fick's father was in "Naked Gun" little else is know about Fick, who is in his seventh season in the Cardinals organization.

Fick has been average at best this season for Memphis, appearing in 21 games while posting a 3.86 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP.

Fick is not known as an over-powering pitcher, relying heavily on a 89-91 MPH sinker and has struck out just 4.3 batters per nine innings this season.

Fick's arrival may signal that there truly are bigger problems in the Cardinals bullpen than many believe, namely Fernando Salas, who is rumored to be the reliever heading South to Memphis to make room for Fick on the Cardinals roster.

Salas has struggled in 2012 after being a key part of the Cardinals bullpen in 2011.  Salas has a 6.32 ERA and an eye-popping 2.04 WHIP in 18 appearances for the Cardinals this season.
