Sure enough, with a grand unveiling at the football team's spring game on Saturday afternoon, the Tigers debuted their new look and released pictures of the new uniforms via the school's official athletic website.
The school partnered with Nike to create the uniforms, and as Nike's Todd Van Horn points out, the new look should help the Tigers compete with recruits and on the court and field with the state of the art technology.
"We take great pride in giving athletes an advantage by providing them with cutting edge innovation as well as uniform designs that honor the school's heritage. It has been a privilege to collaborate with this team to help develop a look that's truly reflective of Mizzou tradition."The uniforms are slick, unique, and loud and certainly give Mizzou the extra swagger they may need as they prepare to compete in the brutally tough SEC.
Among the rumored changes were the football helmets. It was rumored the traditional "M" would disappear and sure enough it has. The Mizzou "Tiger Head" emblem is now on the side of one version of the helmet while a huge picture of a Tiger is on the combat version of the uniforms.

You would think they could come up with something better than Southern Mississippi. The helmet is no improvemant. The 1968-70 helmet was the most dostinctive the school has ever had. Bring it back.....
