Albert Pujols has clearly struggled to adjust to his new home in Los Angeles and his Angels teamates have struggled right alongside with him.

Pujols has yet to hit a home run on the season and his power outage is well documented by the ESPN's and MLB's of the world.

On Sunday, in a 3-0 shutout loss to Derek Lowe and the Cleveland Indians, the struggles for Albert Pujols and the Angels continued.

Pujols went 0 for 4 in the loss on Sunday, failing to get the ball out of the infield after grounding out three times off of Lowe and striking out against Indians closer and former Cardinals teammate Chris Perez.

The futile showing by Pujols may result in the climax of his epic-ally poor, at least by his Hall of Fame worthy standards, start to the 2012 season.

The paltry performance by Pujols and the Angels moved their record to just 7-15 on the season, but it is the lack of numbers put up by Pujols that continues to be the story.

The $240 million man is now hitting just .216 on the season with only seven extra base hits in 22 games.  Pujols isn't drawing the walks he was accustomed to in St. Louis either, taking free passes just six times this year against 14 strikeouts for an on base percentage of .266.

Albert Pujols will not struggle forever in Southern California.  He will get it turned around and some point.  The batting average will rise, the power numbers will return, and Pujols will likely start earning some of the huge contract the Angels gave him.

But as of now, Pujols just can't seem to get going and will need to start hitting the ball out of the infield soon if he hopes to get things turned around.
