After a long and dreadful 2-14 season, many expected for St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke to finally break his silence and decide the fate of not only head coach Steve Spagnuolo, but also of general manager Billy Devaney.
After reports leaked Sunday night that the Rams would indeed fire the pair, the St. Louis Rams and Kroenke made it official on "Black Monday," firing both their head coach and general manager.
Here is what Kroenke had to say in a statement released by the St. Louis Rams organization.
The team is looking for candidates to replace the pair.

However, we believe it’s in the best interest of the St. Louis Rams to make theses changes as we continue our quest to build a team that consistently competes for playoffs and championships.
