Alex Steen May Play Thursday Night Versus Vancouver

The St. Louis Blues may receive a shot in the arm on Thursday night as they prepare to face the Vancouver Canucks.

Forward Alex Steen, who has been nursing a concussion and has missed the Blues past six games, may return for Thursday night's game at the Scottrade Center, according to Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.  The Blues have won their last four with Steen out of the lineup but could use his speed and puck control against the powerful Cancucks.

Steen has passed all of the concussion tests and skated with the team today and if all feels right tomorrow, Steen feels he may be ready to go against the Western Conference rivals.
"We'll see.  It all depends on how I feel, right? We'll talk to the docs and coaches obviously. For me, I just got to feel right."
Before the injury. Steen was among the Blues top players and was fitting in nicely with captain David Backes and forward Chris Stewart on the Blues top line.

Steen leads the team in plus/minus rating and is a plus 20 on the season.  Steen also has 13 goals and 11 assists on the season while playing vital roles on both of the Blues special team units.

Vancouver enters the game with 57 points on the season, the only team in the Western Conference with more points than the Blues, who are in a tie for first place in the Central Division with the Chicago Blackhawks.
