Mizzou Dismantles Kennesaw State 104-67

Anytime a team takes the floor during finals week, you have to wonder how they are going to come out and perform?  Finals week usually includes some cupcakes on the schedule and an opportunity to slip up against a quality opponent since players should be concentrating on their last week of studies for the semester.

And during the first 13 minutes of their game against Kennesaw State at Mizzou Arena, things were looking a bit shaky for the eighth ranked Missouri Tigers men's basketball team.

With 7:21 remaining in the first half, the 9-0 Tigers trailed Kennesaw State by the score of 29-28 on their home floor.

But from that point forward, Frank Haith's veteran Tigers stepped up the pressure, outscoring Kennesaw State 76-38 in route to a 104-67 easy victory.

The win pushed the Tigers record to 10-0 on the season and marked the team's best start since 1991-92.

Mizzou was led in scoring by junior guard Michael Dixon, who had 18 points and four assists.  Senior forward Ricardo Ratliffe also had 18 points and seven rebounds while the team's leading scorer Marcus Denmon poured in 17 points.

The Tigers next play host to William & Mary on Sunday at Mizzou Arena before taking on the 19th ranked Illinois in the annual Braggin Rights game a week from tonight.
