People always say that the hospitality is better in the South.
If LSU's recent actions mean anything at all, then it looks like people are right.
In a good will gesture to the newest member of the SEC, LSU took out a half-page ad in the Shreveport Times welcoming the Missouri Tigers football team to Shreveport as they prepare to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels in the V100 AdvoCare Independence Bowl on December 26th.
Mizzou was not particularly thrilled with their bowl selection after being passed over by more enticing bowls in favor of other Big 12 team's with inferior conference and overall records.
But the opportunity to play in SEC country, where Mizzou will reside beginning next season, is a good opportunity for the Tigers to get to know some of their neighbors.
And it looks like the SEC truly is excited to have Mizzou. Check out LSU's welcome message to Mizzou below.

What a great gesture and it is nice to see some means of sportsmanship and comradarie in college football.
But something tells me LSU, who will be looking to win the BCS National Championship in a couple of weeks when the take on fellow SEC foe Alabama, won't be so nice the first time they step on the field with Mizzou. In fact, I guarantee it will not be all "rah rah, we are all Tigers" once the whistle blows for the first time in Baton Rouge.
