T.J. Oshie Could Miss Time With Wrist Injury

Just as it seems that St. Louis Blues forward T.J. Oshies seems to be figuring things out, the fan favorite may have to miss time with a wrist injury.

The Blues have called up forward Brett Sterling from Peoria in anticipation that that Oshie may have to miss some time with a sore wrist.

According to Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Oshie suffered the injury in the first period of the Blues 3-2 shootout loss on the road to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night.

While Oshie suffered the injury early in the game, he did not let it stop him from having a big night.  Oshie picked up a goal and an assist in the game while also tallying the Blues only goal during shootouts.

Oshie has played well lately as the leadership of new Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock seems to fit Oshie nicely.

Oshie has six goals and seven assists in 19 games this season for the Blues, with most of that production coming in November.  Oshie has scored five goals during the month in eight games.

The club has listed Oshie officially as day-to-day, but considering they made a roster move to call-up Sterling, Oshie could miss some time with that sore wrist.

  2. Sobotka has been great lately, gotten more ice time too... coincidence his play excelled with more ice? I think not...

Oshie/Backes/Steen line is awesome. Not because they light the lamp all the time, but because they hound and hold the puck so much they shut down other team's top lines. Definite advantage in home games when Hitch can match lines..

  3. Yup...the entire line has been great.

Those two guys who have the job to stop that little black thing are playing great too.

Lets hope the entire team can keep it up.

    We shall see.
