St. Louis Rams Pro Bowl running back Steven Jackson returned to the Rams lineup in week three during the Rams 37-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.  But Jackson was not his normal self.

After missing wee two and still hampered by a quad injury, Jackson carried the ball just four times for 23 yards while giving way to Cadillac Williams as the Rams primary back.

Entering this week's contest against the Washington Redskins at the Edward Jones Dome, Jackson is feeling better and has gone through a full range of workouts on Wednesday and Thursday.

Jackson says he is ready for more work.
“I am definitely hoping that last week to this week will change drastically in my play time but ultimately we have to do what is best for the team and whatever the game situation presents. For whatever it is, I am definitely preparing myself to be out there quite a bit."
The Rams need Steven Jackson to return to his normal, healthy, Pro Bowl form if they hope to beat the Redskins, who come into Sunday's game with a 2-1 record.

The Rams have had trouble protecting quarterback Sam Bradford thus far and a strong running attack led by Jackson and Williams will help open things up for a passing game that has failed to get on track.

So while things have been a major disappointment for Jackson personally thus far in 2011, he will look to get himself and his team on the right track with what is hopefully the Rams first win of the season on Sunday.
