A little over a week ago the St. Louis Cardinals announced what was called an "indefinite" suspension of their prized pitching prospect Shelby Miller.

Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that Cardinals farm director John Vuch has confirmed that Shelby Miller has been placed on the Springfield Cardinals active roster and will make Tuesday night's start on the hill.

Miller, who is just 20 years of age, was suspended after a second altercation occurred this summer.  Many believe that the altercation was alcohol related, a clear issue considering that Miller is not yet legally old enough to consume adult beverages.

Miller is replacing the Cardinals other prized prospect Carlos Martinez in the Springfield rotation.  Martinez is taking a stint on the 7-day disabled list with a groin issue.

Miller is 7-3 since joining the Springfield Cardinals and has posted a 2.97 ERA and 71 strikeouts in 69.2 innings pitched.
