Gary Pinkel continues to land big-time recruits within the state of Missouri.  He has done an excellent job of "sealing the borders" since coming to Columbia and this year's recruiting class is no different.

A few months ago Pinkel landed Evan Boehm out of Lee's Summit West High School.  Boehm is the highest ranked offensive guard recruit according to ESPN's college recruiting rankings.

According to PowerMizzou.com, another big bodied, highly ranked prospect from the state of Missouri has decided to wear the black and gold.

Edmund Ray, a defensive tackle out of Ritenour High School in St. Louis, has committed to join the Tigers' recruiting class of 2012.

"Honestly, I'd been thinking about going to Mizzou for a while now," Ray said. "It's a good program, and I decided I was ready to commit to Mizzou."

Ray is a 6 foot 5 inch, 290 pound specimen.  Ray is not among the highest ranked recruits in the country at his position, but Rivals.com ranks Ray as the ninth best recruit out of the state of Missouri.

Being a top 10 prospect in the state, Ray is a nice pick-up for Pinkel who continues to dominate when recruiting the top recruits in the state of Missouri.

Ray also was considering Kansas, Kansas State, Indiana, and Illinois among his top suitors.
