St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday has spent two different stints on the disabled list this season.

Despite fighting off two separate injuries, Holliday has put up monster numbers and was selected as an All-Star reserve in next week's MLB All-Star game in Arizona.

On Tuesday, Holliday received another treat.  He was selected by National League captain and Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder to represent the National League in this year's Home Run Derby.

Holliday responded to his Home Run Derby invitation by blasting two home runs on Tuesday night against the Cincinnati Reds.

The two home runs give Holliday 12 on the season, the fewest of any of the Home Run Derby participants.  Fielder's decision likely was influenced by Holliday's past Derby experience.  Holliday has participated in the derby twice in the past.

Holliday and Fielder will be joined by Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp and Brewers teammate Rickie Weeks.
