Albert Pujols is starting to get hot. Just ask the Chicago Cubs. Pujols looks to have regained his home run swing at the expense of the Cubs pitching staff.
Not only did Pujols send everyone home on Saturday afternoon with a walk-off home run in the 12th inning, his second of the game in the Cardinals 5-4 victory, but he visited with a famous golfer who also has a big swing.
Pujols met with PGA golfer Fred Couples on Saturday, who was in town visiting close friend Barry Weinberg, the assistant athletic trainer for the Cardinals.
Most are in awe when they get a chance to meet Pujols, one of the most prolific power hitters in baseball. But Pujols felt a little giddy when he got to meet with Couples.
"I knew him before," Pujols said. "I'm a big fan. I love his game. I had the opportunity to meet him a couple of years ago. I'm a big, big fan of his."
So while Pujols is heating up with the St. Louis weather, he is also getting to hang out with some of best golfers in the game.
It is possible Couples gave him a couple pointers on his swing. Couples has one of the sweetest swings in golf.
And hopefully Pujols can continue to torture the Cubs with some more blasts like the two on Saturday.
