St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Ryan Theriot missed the entire Houston Astros series earlier this week.
But he will not miss any additional time this weekend as the St. Louis Cardinals travel to Atlanta to play the Braves in a 3 game set.
Theriot, who missed time with an injury to his right rib cage, was back in Tony La Russa's lineup on Friday night.
Theriot was at his familiar shortstop position, but found himself batting in a foreign spot in the order.
La Russa put Theriot in the 7th slot in the lineup on Friday. Nick Punto got the start for the Cardinals at second base and hit leadoff on Friday night.
Either way, it is good to see Theriot's .311 batting average and .361 on base percentage back in the lineup for St. Louis.
