The Tigers started off hot, jumping out to an early 9-2 lead.
This resembled Mizzou's excellent performance during the beginning of the season against non-conference opponents.
But Cincinnati quickly regrouped, figured out Mizzou's 94 feet style, and punished the Tigers on the boards, in the paint, and all over the floor in route to what turned out to be an easy victory.
Watching the Tigers get physically over-matched definitely should have reminded Tigers fans of much of the Big 12 conference play, especially in games away from Mizzou Arena.
The Bearcats, who led by 11 points at the half, fended off two Mizzou runs by calmly executing on offense and knocking down key shots, killing any momentum Mike Anderson's Tigers could garner.
Cincinnati beat the Tigers on the boards, out-rebounding Mizzou 35-27.
The Tigers were unable to force any Bearcats turnovers either, managing just 7 steals and forcing only 10 Cincinnati turnovers.
Ricardo Ratliffe led the Tigers with 13 points. Michael Dixon came off the bench to score 11.
Mizzou's leading scorer Marcus Denmon was held to just 10 points on 3 of 11 shooting.
It was the last game of Justin Safford's career. Safford finished with 6 points as he said good bye to the Missouri program.
Mizzou fans will now worry as Safford might not be the only member of the Tigers team to leave. Rumors continue to swirl that the University of Arkansas continues to court Coach Anderson.
