But that didn't stop the Blues from absolutely dominating the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night in route to a 4-0 shutout.
Blues goalie Jaroslav Halak stopped all 17 shots he faced, posting his 5th shutout of the season.
But Halak's work was rather light when you compare it to the badgering the Blues forwards game Kings goalie Jonathan Quick.
The Blues dominated play, firing 39 shots at Quick in order to post their 4 goals.
Another reason Halak only saw 17 shots was that the Blues blocked 22 L.A. shots, including 4 by rookie Ian Cole.
Forward Matt D'Agostini lit the lamp twice for the Blues. Alex Pietrangelo scored from center ice. And T.J. Oshie added his 9th goal of the season late in the 3rd period.
Ryan Reaves and Cam Janssen each got in a scrap as well.
This could have been the most well-rounded game the Blues have played the entire season.
