Tigers Looking For Number Two In Manhattan

After a mid-season swoon that watched the Missouri Tigers hover around .500 basketball in Big 12 play, Mizzou coach Mike Anderson thinks his ball club may have finally figured it out.

"It's all starting to come together now," Anderson said.

Anderson's hypothesis will certainly be tested on Saturday as the Tigers travel to Manhattan, Kansas to take on the red-hot Kansas State Wildcats.

Mizzou will be searching for their second road win of the season and the ever important 9th conference win, which guarantees the Tigers will finish over .500 in conference play.

Doing so will also make the Tigers a lock to be dancing in March.

The game will not be as easy as it was for Mizzou when they faced Kansas State on their home floor back on January 17th, a 75-59 thumping.

But Kansas State coach Frank Martin has got his team re-focused and playing fantastic defense.

The Wildcats have won 5 of their last 6 games and are fighting for their NCAA tournament lives with a 7-6 Big 12 record and a 19-9 record overall.

Look for an ugly, defensive struggle between these two up-tempo ball clubs.  Tip-off is at 11 am.
