Tigers Defense Stifles Baylor, Mizzou Wins 77-59

As is the case with Mike Anderson coached teams, opponents better be able to play the entire length of the floor and be able to protect the ball.

The Baylor Bears weren't prepared as they were crushed by the Missouri Tigers 77-59 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri.

The Tigers forced 21 turnovers on Wednesday night and blocked 6 Bears shots in route to an easy home victory.

The win improved Mizzou's Big 12 record to 8-5.  The Tigers are now 22-6 on the season and remain undefeated at home on Norm Stewart Court.

The Tigers were led offensively by Laurence Bowers, who scored 20 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and swiped 6 steals.

Ricardo Ratliffe scored 11 points and grabbed 13 boards for Mizzou, as the Tigers also won the rebounding battle 34-32 over the taller Bears.

Kim English scored 16 points while leading scorer Marcus Denmon chipped in 13 points in front of a national television audience on ESPN2.

Mizzou will head back on the road, where they have struggled with just one victory this season.  The Tigers will take on the Kansas State Wildcats in Manhattan on Saturday.
