It comes as no surprise that former Missouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert and defensive Aldon Smith received official invites to the NFL Combine scheduled to run from February 24 through March 1st.

But a third Tiger has also been invited to the combine.

Defensive back Kevin Rutland is also one of the 329 participants in the pre-draft workouts.

Rutland was one of the fastest Tigers on the entire team and will be looking to run his way on to an NFL roster.

The defensive back out of Houston, Texas had 44 tackles on the season, including 4 sacks.

Rutland also intercepted 3 passes in 2010, making for a very solid senior campaign and solidifying the reasoning behind his invite to the NFL combine.

Rutland may not go in the first round of the draft like his teammates Gabbert and Smith, but he stands a good chance of getting drafted in April.
