Its been a long-time coming for Andy McDonald, but he finally will be activated for the St. Louis Blues game on Friday night against the Edmonton Oilers at the Scottrade Center.
McDonald was injured on back on December 4th after taking a big hit. McDonald suffered a concussion and has since been recovering on the side lines.
McDonald has been skating with the team for almost two weeks and Blues doctors have finally given the 33 year old center clearance to hit the ice for a real game.
McDonald has missed 24 games since the injury.
When McDonald has been on the ice for St. Louis he has been extremely effective, notching 8 goals and 9 assists in 25 games.
The addition of McDonald's play-making abilities will be well-received by a team that ranks just 23rd in the NHL at 2.6 goals per game.
Having Andy Mac back will def help the Blue note.
