On Saturday, the NFL will announce the inductees for this years class into the NFL Hall of Fame.
Among the finalists for voting, is former NFL MVP and St. Louis Rams running back Marshall Faulk.
Faulk's numbers stack up with the best of them and are certainly worthy of a first ballot selection into the Hall of Fame.
Faulk ranks 7th all time in touchdowns scored with 136 in his career.
He is 10th on the all-time rushing list with 12,279 yards.
Only 3 current Hall of Famers have caught more passes than Marshall's 767 receptions. Each of those players are wide receivers.
Faulk is the only player in NFL history to have amassed over 12,000 yards rushing and 6,000 yards passing in a career.
Marshall Faulk is the best multi-purpose running back in NFL history and he is excited about a chance at becoming a member of the pro football Hall of Fame.
“I’m excited about it on every level,” Faulk said. “I’m anxious about it. I’m excited to be in the process. It’s an honor. This is awesome on every level, regardless of where you come from. Any time you get an opportunity to experience this honor, you embellish and you enjoy it.”
If it isn't announced the Faulk is a member of the Hall of Fame on Saturday, than it could go down as one of the biggest mistakes in professional sports.
