Kansas Shoots Down Tigers

The Missouri Tigers had a good night in Lawrence, Kansas offensively, shooting 51% from the field.

There was just one problem.

Kansas shot 60%, including 11 of 19 from 3 point range, as the Tigers were blown out by the Jayhawks 103 to 86.

Things looked promising for Mizzou as they led most of the first 15 minutes of the game and trailed by just 4 points at half time.

But the second half was all Kansas as the Jayhawks dominated the boards, out-rebounding the Tigers 38 to 20, and spend plenty of time at the free throw line, hitting 18 of 28 free throw attempts, in what turned out to be an easy victory.

To add insult to injury, the Tigers had three players, Laurence Bowers, Ricardo Ratliffe, and Phil Pressey all foul out.

Bowers was outstanding for the Tigers on the offensive end of the floor, leading the Tigers with 19 points on 8 of 11 shooting.

Four other Tigers, including Pressey (17), Matt Pressey (11), Ratliffe (12), and Marcus Denmon (11) scored in double figures for the Tigers.

Mizzou's record has dropped to 18-6 on the season and the they are just 4-5 in Big 12 play.

The Tigers next battle the Oklahoma Sooners at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.
