Rick Ankiel was spotted at Roger Dean Stadium by Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Ladies, please try not to get too excited. Ankiel has not been signed by the Cardinals to any sort of contract.
But the Cardinals were gracious enough to let the Jupiter, Florida native visit the team's facilities and workout as Ankiel prepares for his first season with the Washington Nationals.
Ankiel signed with Washington this winter a $1.5 million contract to play outfield.
Ankiel spent 2010 splitting time between the Kansas City Royals and Atlanta Braves, appearing in just 74 games, hitting .232 with 6 home runs and 24 RBI's.
Ankiel recently became a new father.
He is expected to report to the Nationals spring training on February 17th.
