McCrae to Make NHL Debut in Anaheim

The St. Louis Blues rank just 20th in the NHL in goals per game, scoring 2.6 per contest.

In order to shake the line-up a bit and to hopefully add some scoring punch as T.J. Oshie, Andy McDonald, and David Perron continue to nurse injuries, the Blues have called up Philip McRae from Peoria.

McRae, son of former NHL player Basil McRae will be making his NHL debut as he puts on the Blues jersey for the first time.

McRae has notched 22 points for Peoria with 11 goals and 11 assists in 37 games, good for 11th among rookies in the AHL.

The Blues have also called up 23 year old forward Ryan Reaves from Peoria.

Reaves isn't known for his scoring as he only notched 9 points in 33 games.

But Reaves is a tough guy and has 91 penalty minutes this season.  Hopefully Reaves can use 225 pound frame to cause traffic in the net and provide toughness to a front-line that is thin and probably over-exposed.
