The game also saw Cam Jannsen's return to the lineup for St. Louis.  Janssen made his presence felt immediately with a first period battle with Colorado's David Koci that lasted over two minutes.

The Blues will look to start making up ground on the Avalanche next on Wednesday when they travel to Calgary to take on Jerome Iginla and the Flames.

The Flames sit one point ahead of the Blues in the standings as of Monday night.
