St. Louis Rams: Kurt Warner throws passes at Day 3 of training camp

The starting quarterback of the St. Louis Rams is clearly Sam Bradford.  Coming off a torn ACL injury, all reports say that Bradford is healthy.  He is ready to go.  He is ready to lead the charge back to the playoffs. There is little doubt that Sam Bradford is the man in St. Louis.  But Kurt Warner use to be the man in St. Louis, and the former two-time NFL MVP was not there just for his job at the NFL Network.  Evidently, Warner was very hands on as well.

Now, lets make things clear.  There is absolutely ZERO chance that Kurt Warner would come out of retirement and play for the Rams ever again.

But the fact that he took part in practice and threw passes to young receivers like Tavon Austin and Chris Givens in front of over two thousand fans, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, is pretty cool.

Warner will always be a hero in St. Louis for what he was able to orchestrate (with A LOT of help from Marshall Faulk) and for resurrecting football in St. Louis for an impressive five-year stretch.

It is good to hear that Warner can still spin it.  It is good to hear that he still has a great sense of humor.  It is good to hear that he is friendly with the current Rams regime.

Now lets just hope Bradford learned something from Warner during his day at Rams Park and can take that to the field with him in 2014.

Oh, before I forget, Warner did do some work for NFL Network and interviewed Sam Bradford, which you can see here.
