Mizzou head basketball coach Frank Haith had a reputation of being a great recruiter before arriving in Columbia, Missouri prior to last season.
So far, Haith looks to be delivering on that reputation. On Thursday evening Haith landed a high prized power forward recruit out of Tennessee.
Six foot, eight inch power forward Johnathan Williams III announced that he would attend the University of Missouri in 2013.
"It's a great basketball program, good academically and just a good school," Williams said.
Williams, who is rated 35th overall by ESPN, averaged 15.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per game as a junior. Williams is left handed and also has a knack for blocking shots, swatting three per game in his most recent high school campaign.
Williams becomes the second player ranked in the ESPN Top 100 in Haith's 2013 recruiting class, the other being point guard Wes Clark out of Michigan.
