That is correct.  You can now mention Bradley Beal's name with the likes of NBA superstars like James, Bryant and Dwight Howard as Beal was named the national Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year on Monday.

Quite impressive company for the senior out of Chaminade.

"Just being named with some of the top-notch players that have received this award is truly a blessing and an honor," Beal said.

Beal may be the most talented basketball player ever to come out of St. Louis as he graduates from Chaminade this spring and will be headed to Florida to play for Billy Donovan's Gators.

Beal is a silky smooth 6 foot, 4 inch shooting guard.  He has long distance range, slick ball-handling skills, and an incredible amount of athleticism.

Beal averaged 32.4 points per game this past season for Chaminade.

He plans on contributing immediately at Florida next season and he knows he has come a long way.

"It's happened so fast. I can remember like it was yesterday playing as a freshman and being so small and so little and getting pushed around and everything," Beal said. "Now I'm a senior getting ready to go to college. I've grown up a little bit."

And if Beal plans on joining Bryant, James, and Howard on any other lists, he has a long way still to go.
